OK... Only a few of us seem to have found this at the moment, or are interested in working on it. That's a shame, but does mean we might get some coherency going.

So, my questions are about chapters 3 and 5. They seem sort of stand alone at the moment (4 is kind of weird too....er, *more* weird, I mean :) I'm not saying we have to stick with them as they are right now at all, mind you.) Right now we seem to have a lot of disparate threads that need to come together, and seemingly about 8 major characters in Australia, Mexico, and (presumably) the United States, all presumably somehow connected... any novel starting like that is going to be nothing short of epic really. Globe spanning crime / conspiracy stuff with a framework of personal relationships. Crikey.

So...where to? Cut down on some of the characters? Think about links between them that might occur sooner, as well as some that could be 'reveals' later? Is it more about *who* killed Big Tony, or *why* he was killed?

Thoughts?

I think some good points. Part of the reason behind these sections, timelines, bios (etc) is to try and draw ideas together - there are discussions on various chapters (particularly chapter 2 regarding the relationships between characters (keep an eye on discussion tabs - > I wonder if there is a way of pulling them all together onto one page? I might have to have a look into it this evening when I'm back from the day job)) I think we've a lot of potential - we need to (at least, I feel we need to) form a cohesive idea of where we're going and how things link together. I've suspicions that Big Tony may be an anti-hero and Carlo / Keepsake / Runihura Morouse are all linked together by some common plan; maybe the Tango Murders being more than a simple serial killer at work? Maybe Big Tony (and Keepsake) being killed by a government operative (maybe Jack is a red herring?) - maybe Morouse having the key to it all; although he's obviously deranged and insane...
