Inu

Inu is Carlo's faithful genetically engineered dog. A pug/boston terrier mix (known as a "bug" in backyard breeding circles), Inu displayed the usual gregarious qualities that man's best friend posesses. However, Inu started having 'dark days' soon after Liz (Carlo's estranged wife) left. Carlo sees Inu as a necessary evil. Without him, his Brainoid Computer would freeze up, but Carlo hates animals, but loves sugar.
At various times in this story's evolution, Inu had been female, male, dead, talking, stuffed by taxidermist, a brown Great Dane, a hallucination, a schnauzer, a mutant blue bulldog chromosomal mix, a Cheshire terrier, a Trojan cat, etc. Occasionally, Inu has been all of the above at the same time.

Inu is the name of the teacup chihuahua the Penguin Chief takes to work with him, in his lunchbox. Everyone in the office likes her (Inu is a she) and always faun on her, "Inu, my little pooh pooh! Give me kissy! kissy!"
