Instructions

We're all putting a lot of work in here - as part of expanding the novel as it moves forward we may find that we want to stretch the time line - chapters that have been written but are considered "for the future" can be added to; or linked into this page and then re-inserted at the appropriate time.

[edit] Chapter 9 (as of 6th Feb 2007) to be re-inserted as a base around chapter 13 depending on development of Australia storyline

Lieutenant Guthrie waited at the airport for Sergeant Anderson, who would arrive at any minute now. Knowing that Anderson had been working together with Scoletti when he'd had been living in Australia, he was hoping Anderson could help him with the investigation.

When the plane had finally arrived at the airport and Anderson checked out, he could see a large-framed elderly man waiting on the outside of the building. He recognized, or at least thought it must be, the angry Lt. that had called him last night. He wondered why he had accepted Lt. Guthrie's invitation to come to this lazy town on the other side of the world, but guessed it was just his interest in seeing old Big Tony dead that had made him return.

"So who are our suspects so far?", Guthrie asked Anderson when they drove in to the town, wasting little time. He had a feeling this would take a while and didn't want to get bogged down with pleasantries.

Anderson sighed, "We don't have a clue. Big Tony wasn't exactly the most popular man around, so the list is almost endless." While walking into the mortuary where the body of late Big Tony was stored, he felt the old memories creeping into his brain again. Tony had been a shit of a bastard back in the days I'd known him and I don't believe for a second that Big Tony would have changed in any way before he was killed.
