You replied: "I think we should give them assistance."

"That was all I wanted to know," said the commander as he turned his back on you. "It was just as I suspected."

Suddenly, he swung around, pointed a plasma pistol at your head and fired. You ducked just in time, but the console behind you was severely damaged. There was a spray of sparks, the lights went out, the alarms switched on, and in the ensuing chaos the commander managed to flee the cabin.

As the ship's chief engineer your skills are vital to restoring affected systems. However, at that very moment you were more than tempted to go after the commander and see to it yourself that he did not escape in one of the pods.

Did you stay at your post and work frantically to restore the systems in the interest of the safety of your crew? If so, go to Sci-Fi 3A
