"I think we should blow them to hell," you replied.
"Good answer Dhagan. I knew we could count on you," said the commander. "Will you do the honors?"
"Gladly," you said, as you eagerly swung around in your chair, pressed the red "fire" button, and watched as the Vangorn personnel carrier broke up in space, killing all 150 men aboard. You allowed yourself an evil smile at a job well done.
"I'm starting to like this business," you said.
But as you write this, you are beginning to have second thoughts. Did you do the right thing?
The troops on board that carrier were probably bound to be your undoing. If you had decided to render aid, they would not have hesitated to overpower the ship, examine its cargo, and worse. "It would have been foolish to help them," You justify to yourself, as you recline in your bunk, setting your journal aside for the night.
