Dear, journal, I am writing this to recount a strange series of events that ensued on the surface of Kannor Alpha. We had just unloaded a haul of sapo roots which fetch a hefty price since the prohibition. Anyway, I traversed the local market by the space dock to spend some of my riches. (I have never before had 100 credits!!)
As I was returning to the ship, a rather destitute Rodonian approached me. He said that he would pay me 350 credits in exchange for some information. He said he urgently needed to know the exact locations of certain "nav points" as I call them - little known astroids, rogue planets, and the like. He said that he was looking for his little girl. "I could give you a map," I said. "Yes, map. Givy me map, yesy."
The Rodonians are known as a peaceful race, friends of the Vagorn fleet. They rarely have need for nav points, becuase they aren't inclined to be spacefarers, and don't deal with the black market. The general area of space he spoke of is near the outskirts of Ungod territory, a race known to feast on Rodorian flesh. The Ungods are also the primary trading partners of the Sarvos Guild.
I told him, "I don't deal with your kind, and besides, you should stay away from that part of space." Turn to Sci-Fi 3D.
I told him, "I will give you the map for 200 credits because everyone knows where those nav points are anyway." Turn to Sci-Fi 3E.
I told him, "Sure I'll give you a map, but you'll have to cough up 5,000 credits." Turn to Sci-Fi 3F.
