Talk:Ethical guidelines

Good guidelines - clear and straightforward - but, like Jo, I don't understand what's meant by "Register yourself and sign in to talk pages, but not the main wikinovel." Is there going to be more than one type of contributor (besides ourselves, i.e. Penguin/DMU), those who can write in the novel pages and those who can only contribute to the talk about the novel pages? --Christine 04:31, 25 January 2007 (CST)

I've just visited my my talk page, which I'm presuming are the "talk pages" referred to above - but what are these user talk pages for? --Christine 04:36, 25 January 2007 (CST)

I was just wondering that Christine! I cant see how we can access anyone else's "my talk" so they dont seem to be discussion pages (unless i am being very thick!) Something in the technical guidelines needs to say what these talk pages are... do we need them? There seem to be lots of other places for discussion

I'm not quite sure why the novel is being edited as a single page. It makes it very difficult to track the history of changes or to start discussions on parts of the novel. Given that there is a structure of 'chapters', why isn't each chapter a separate page? There seems to be conversation elsewhere to suggest that at one time they were but that this may have been reverted in some sort of edit war. Can anyone comment or illuminate on this? --Mazzy 22:24, 4 February 2007 (EST)
